... Winter Storm Warning now in effect until 9 PM CST this
evening...
... Blizzard Warning in effect from 9 PM this evening to 3 PM CST
Saturday...

* what... for the Winter Storm Warning, additional snow
accumulations of 3 to 5 inches and ice accumulations of a light
glaze. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. For the Blizzard
Warning, blizzard conditions expected. Total snow accumulations
of up to one inch. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph.

* Where... Bon Homme and Yankton counties.

* When... for the Winter Storm Warning, until 9 PM CST this
evening. For the Blizzard Warning, from 9 PM this evening to 3
PM CST Saturday.

* Impacts... travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing
snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous
conditions could impact the morning or evening commute. Gusty
winds could bring down tree branches.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.

Travel should be restricted to emergencies only. If you must
travel, have a winter survival kit with you. If you get stranded,
stay with your vehicle.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Missouri River at Springfield.
* Until further notice.
* At 10am Thursday the stage was 11.19 feet.
* Flood stage is 10.00 feet.
* At stages near 11.0 feet... the boat Landing near Santee is flooded,
and the access Road to some of the recreational homes east of the
boat Landing is flooded.
