... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect from 3 PM this
afternoon to 9 PM CST Saturday...
... Wind Chill Advisory has expired...

* what... heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 5 to 9
inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph later this afternoon into
this evening and from 35 to 40 mph on Saturday.

* Where... north St. Louis, central St. Louis and Carlton and
south St. Louis counties. This includes the tribal lands of
the Fond Du Lac band and the Bois forte band, Nett Lake and,
lake Vermillion areas.

* When... from 3 PM this afternoon to 9 PM CST Saturday.

* Impacts... travel could be very difficult. The hazardous
conditions could impact the morning or evening commute. The
cold wind chills as low as 25 below zero could cause frostbite
on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.
